1. What We Process
Text and images you submit are processed in server memory to produce translations and formatted output. We do not store your input text or images in a database. Translation outputs are held in server memory only until delivered to your browser, or for a short time if a job is abandoned (see Data Retention below).
2. Local Processing
Translation and image OCR use our Ollama server with Qwen models. By default, your content is not sent to third-party translation services.
3. Google Translate Fallback
If Ollama translation fails, you may explicitly choose an optional Google Translate fallback. Only then is your text sent to Google for translation. This is entirely your choice.
4. What We Collect
In this free beta tier we do not collect accounts or personally identifiable information (PII). We do record:
- IP address — for rate limiting and abuse prevention only
- Anonymized analytics — via Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled
- Anonymous feature votes — if you use the Software page poll, we store a one-way hash of your IP address with your ranking preference so each visitor can vote once and see aggregate results. Optional free-text ideas are stored in the same row as that hash.
5. Cookies
We use no cookies beyond those essential for site operation. Google Analytics may set its own cookies subject to Google's policies.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We do not store your text or translations in a database. While a job is running, and for a short period after it completes, outputs are kept in server memory so your browser can retrieve them. Once delivered (preview shown or file downloaded), server copies are removed promptly. Jobs that are never completed or never fetched are automatically removed within 30 minutes. We never sell your data. Because we do not persist your content, there is no stored personal data to delete on request beyond what is already removed by these mechanisms.
